  • Introduction to PC gameScore

PC gameScore wants to cover all things associated with the music of PC games. It has a database of instructions on how to play music from the games themselves (Game Music), it links to downloads from game companies (Music Links) and reviews game's scores on CD. PC gameScore also tries to provide all the news for game music enthusiasts.

This is not meant to be a database of games and their composers. Games are added when there are new entries to Game Music, Music Links or CDs, and that's is also when I try to add the game's musical artist.

Listening to game music connects us to events we encountered when playing the games. What makes game scores so different from movie scores is that the player is usually more involved and that the music has to be interactive in most cases. In those instances the musical experience may be different for every player. Game music has to pay tribute to the fact that it's often repeated for as long as the character stays in the same scene.

    The inner workings
Links on top of the left column will (if necessary) point to articles that provide an introduction to the corresponding section.

Link colors do vary with their targets. Whenever they lead to a page that is not a part of PC gameScore they will be in cyan, while intern links are yellow. I am trying to figure out a way to keep that color scheme in texts, but that proves quite difficult at the moment.
Most links leading you outside of PC gameScore have an arrow image that lets you decide whether to open in the same window (by clicking the text) or a new one (by clicking the arrow).

At the moment searches may include only one term. While that should suffice in most cases I do work on a way to include more than one parameter.
Feel free to try as many search terms as you like. Separate them with a space, comma or plus.
